An aerial bomb known as MK82, which had deeply penetrated a pit near an ocean area for years, was neutralized successfully by CMAC’s EOD experts in O Oknha Heng Commune, Prey Nob District, Preah Sihanouk Province, on April 8, 2024. The MK82 aircraft bomb, whose weight is around 230 kg, was used by the US military and various other nations and saw extensive deployment in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. It is estimated that there are 4,03 million tons of bombs in Cambodia.
