Taking this opportunity to express profound thanks to the Government of People’s Republic of China for providing grant financial assistance to the Royal government to support CMAC’s demining efforts and to implement the project “ China-Aided Cambodia Landmines Elimination” with total grant of USD4,400,000 for 2024 with a 12 month period (March 2024-February 2025) with a decision to release the pledge late this month. This 2024’s project plans to achieve namely 1. clearance of 3,400 hectares of landmines and UXO contamination areas, 2. conducting cluster munitions and bombs survey at 9000 polygons (locations) and strengthening unexploded ordinances as the remnants of war risks educations and victim assistance to around 300 village targets. This project expects to reach around 700,000 beneficiaries.

It’s vital to note that this is a second year of a three year period project (March 2023-February 2026) with a total grant amount to USD13,200,000.
